Appropriate Technology

Appropriate Technology is a term that was introduced by Schumacher in “Small is Beautiful: a study of economics as if people mattered”.

  1. Cheap enough to be ubiquitous. As cheap enough to be made anywhere. This also material cost, not monetary.
  2. Usable on a small scale.
  3. Allow for human creativity.
